Basic instructions to guide you in measuring and configuring your closet. Illustrations below show two examples of layouts with standard measurements used by Permafil installation experts.
1 – Mark desired height of shelves on back wall.
2 – Mark first hole 2” (51 mm) from the wall. Mark other holes 12” (305 mm) apart ensuring line is level.
3 – Drill a ¼” (6 mm) hole for each back clip.
4 – Insert back clips on back of shelf and fasten them to the wall.
5 – Raise front of shelf and level. Insert end bracket, mark holes to drill.
6 – Raise shelf and drill ¼“ (6 mm) holes.
7 – Fasten end cap and insert shelf.
8 – Shelves exceeding 30” (762 mm) in length require an express rod of post*. EXPRESS ROD: insert express rod into shelf and press back end to the wall to mark hole to be drilled. Drill a ¼” (6 mm) hole and fasten express rod.
9 – *POST: Press post against front of shelves and fasten assembly joints with tapping screws, making sure shelves are level.
